Award

Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn accepted the
most enduring honor of the night -- the CMT Johnny Cash
Visionary Award -- for her career achievements. Reba
McEntire, Martina McBride and Wilson presented the award
following a video segment that included comments from Elvis
Costello, actress Sissy Spacek and others.

Loretta Lynn Contender for CMT Award

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country music icon Loretta Lynn,
who turns 70 this week, could look forward to an early
birthday gift Monday - the presentation of Country Music
Television's Johnny Cash Visionary Award during CMT's video
awards show.
Much like the namesake of the Cash award, Lynn has reached a
critical peak late in her career, winning two Grammys for
her recent album "Van Lear Rose."
