Country music legend Loretta Lynn, simply known as “The Coal Miner’s Daughter,”
is one of the finest singer/songwriters of the twentieth century. Loretta’s life
story is a rags-to-riches tale that many dream of but only few are destined for.
Born Loretta Webb, to Ted and Clara Marie Webb, in a one-room log cabin on April
14th, 1935, in the coal mining hills of Butcher Holler, Kentucky, she is the
second oldest of eight children.

Country music icon Loretta Lynn is keeping a steady pace on the road as she visits a handful of US cities each month through the fall.
Lynn's next gig is April 11 in Davenport, IA, and her current schedule has her
playing a smattering of theaters, casinos, festivals and fairs around the
country through late October. The itinerary includes a few shows at her own
Loretta's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN.

Sunday as a bevy of country music’s greatest shot the GAC
special How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites From The Grand
Ole Opry.
Hosted by Nan Kelley, Carrie Underwood turned in a
big-voiced rendition of "How Great Thou Art" in a parade of
stars that also featured Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans and
Loretta Lynn, who earned three standing ovations.

Dottie Rambo Performs With Loretta Lynn
Renfro Valley, KY - Loretta Lynn gave fans an extra special
treat when she surprised fans at the Renfro Valley
Entertainment complex with a surprise appearance of her
legendary friend, Dottie Rambo. As Rambo entered the stage,
the crowd immediately gave her a standing ovation. Loretta
shared with the audience that Dottie Rambo was the first
gospel singer she met when she came to Nashville and the
first friend in Gospel music she made.
